Zvukovaya Dorogka about the concert of Kim Breitburg

18 ôåâðàëÿ 2005
“Who is that cool person, sitting at the piano?” – the guest form around-music bohemia boasted, who gathered in Kremlin Palace to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the composer Kim Breitburg at last Sunday.
The joking guests meant the person at the white grand-piano, who hung between floor and ceiling at the back of huge Kremlin backstage and resisted identification because of close frames lack on the numerous light-diode screens. The guests were just fooling around of course, they perfectly knowing who was up there, they couldn’t resist the pleasure to chat and play with the word “krutoy”(means “cool” in Russian – translator note), meaning the status of the person, or the compare with other famous piano sitter – the composer Krutoy. Like, Breitburg is not Krutoy, but he is cool too… And the piano was the same . White. And the artists were the same too.
There are lots of artists, but it isn’t enough composers. So they sing… here and there.
Boris Moiseev managed to point all points on “i”. In the final of “Just Schelkunchik”( where Breitburg specially and conceptual inserted the quote from the music of Chaikovski to the ballet “Schelkunchik”) “just baby” Boris Moiseev theatrically waved in direction of the figure at white piano and solemnly groan: “Composer Kim Breitburg”. Thus, the composer Breitburg bowed to the public under the music of Chaikovski…
Moiseev’s solo
In general, Boris Moiseev became the red line of the drama fabric of the whole anniversary concert of Kim Breitburg, who managed to compose about a dozen of hits for that “child of sin” – from “Little star” to “Black Velvet”. As Boris dressed the costume of poison-blue color, the red line turned to blue…
Boris’s performances, practically, tied the many-pole episodes of rich creative life of the composer, which included Valeriy Leontiev and Laima Vaiculee, Valeriy Meladze, and Diana Gurtskaya, and “Prime Ministr”, Larisa Dolina and Nikolay Trubach, almost all “People’s Artists” and also Jasmin, Anastasia Stotskaya and Philip Kirkorov himself. All them and even Kirkorov(Oops!) sang “alilluya” that evening for the fame of the composer and the musician Kim Breitburg.
But Mr. Moiseev still stayed the main singer and dancer. That spicy circumstance, however, didn’t hurt the good reputation of the occasion hero, and, on contrary, enlivened the concert and gave birth to some sensations.
The sensation #1 took place when long-ago-dead duet of Moiseev and Trubach resurrected for one evening on “Blue Moon”. The hall groaned. The host of the concert Ivan Urgant shed a few tears too: “Many of us grew up on that song”. The groaning hall fell to laughing at once…
The sensation #2 took place when Ludmila Gurchenko joined Boris Moiseev and they both brought the 6 thousand of people to “Petersburg-Leningrad”. The audience refused to return from the touching voyage and asked to repeat everything from the beginning. They had to repeat. Two days earlier that song was asked for three times in the hall of “Russia”. Slow romantic ballad of paradoxical and not young at all duet of two, generally speaking, not singers unexpectedly became the super-hit of the season. It was pleasing to realize that the readers of the “ZD” were the first to announce about it, they awarded the victory in the “ZD chart” to the song.
And also there was the sensation #3, as always…
…Kirkorov flew into the rage.
Another sensational comeback of Philip Kirkorov took place on the concert. With God’s help, it wasn’t the last…
Philip returns as he went - with scandals. There he demanded the guarantee of the entering of his performance with the numerous ballet to the TV-version of the concert, for exciting and tuning of the audience to the entrance of the star. Or else Philip threatened to leave.
Phil stood in the middle of artistic hall and loudly and nervous demanded the limo to the entrance, stepping on marble floor. He supposed to leave and never come back. But there was no limo for long time. And on the radio the administrator passionlessly : “Kirkorov, to stage”. After some moments, without getting the limo and “guarantee”, Philip turned around and went on the stage just like he was even without unpacking one of his cases with costumes.
However, he was good that appearance too. Whole in black, like “men in black” – leather jacket, shirt, denims, foots. In general at about 10 thousands dollars, not more: casual – just to walk on the street. Modestly, of course, but he jingled with funny chains and rings with skulls.
Back in the rock
The culmination of the anniversary evening was the touching performance of the band “Dialog” in full staff - long un-existing rock-legend of 80ies, Kim Breiburg was the leader of the band and contributed a lot to the history of our battle rock. Was Kim thinking, then in 1980, when “Dialog” was the musical dissident on the half-underground and historical rock-festival “Tbilisi-80”, that he would become the cool pop-music hit-maker and would celebrate his anniversary as big boss in Kremlin, dressed in tuxedo, with grey hair, wearing professor glasses, at white piano and under blinding shine of “Blue Moon”?
